LIVEWIRE Brunei, the community development flagship of Brunei Shell Petroleum Sdn Bhd, has signed up for Cendana, a cloud-based management suite developed by BAG Networks.

In a press release, BAG said that LiveWIRE is the latest organisation to register for the platform, which was launched in April 2016.

Hasliza Hj Khairul Zaman, head of finance at LiveWIRE, said that they have chosen to use Cendana because the platform has been proven to be hassle-free and user-friendly for the organisation following a month’s trial.

“We chose Cendana as the system offers us convenient online access along with the added value of secure local hosting and scalability which is in tandem with LiveWIRE’s future growth,” she was quoted as saying in the press release.

She also expressed appreciation for the complimentary training and support provided by the team from BAG Networks.

LiveWIRE programme director Pg Redzuan Pg Hj Abbas said that the organisation shares a common aim with the Cendana platform in encouraging local youths to start venturing into their own businesses.

He said that Cendana serves as a good business management tool that can assist local entrepreneurs.

Cendana features a wide range of modules, ranging from a web-based point-of-sales system and inventory tracking to project management and customer relationship management modules, all of which are integrated into one system which can be expanded on as needed by the particular company.

The product was released in response to the lack of integration on back-end systems for accounting and inventory, which made it challenging for entrepreneurs to keep track of records.

As the platform is web-based, it can also be accesed through a tablet or smartphone. It can also work offline on devices to record sales and will automatically sync once Internet connection is available.

BAG Networks Sdn Bhd is a leading ICT consulting and outsourcing services provider, which was formed in 2001 as a joint venture between the Brunei Government and global professional services company Accenture.

BAG has also delivered e-Government projects such as the Treasury and Accounting Financial Information System, the System for Tax Administration and Revenue Services, the Government Employee Management Systems and the online system for Registry of Companies and Business Names. –Leo Kasim
